Who we are

Vale Community Mediation Service is a voluntary organisation and community business working with individuals, communities and organisations to resolve conflict.

We are working in partnership with the NEW Gwendraeth Community Mediation Service, based in Carmarthenshire and launched in June 2008. Together, we provide neighbourhood mediation services across South Wales.

We deliver mediation services to enable people experiencing conflict to find a solution which they feel they can live with.

We can also find you other types of mediation through one of our partners. Please contact us for details. We accept referrals from organisations, prive clients or community groups. We aim to provide support to everyone who contacts us, either through the provision of mediation, or by referring to a more appropriate agency.

We were established thanks to the work of the Vale Housing Federation and funding from the Welsh Assembly Government.

All of our mediators are accredited, trained volunteers who give their time for free to help resolve conflict within their communities.

Vale Community Mediation Service is a National Open College Network (NOCN) approved training centre and delivers training in mediation skills accredited by NOCN.
